Miss Sapphire you are a talented writer! I was very pleasantly surprised by how good this story was. Callie first appeared to be so weak with no backbone....almost made me stop reading...but, oh well, curiosity...that and wanting Jared to reap what he soooo deserves. I also wanted to follow along as Callie got her groove back. A woman who was smart enough to come up with a successful business idea and plan had to a woman of strength and substance. Her blind devotion and love for a good looking & devious man derailed her, but thank you good friend Rosie for encouraging her to get back on track!I like Waylan & Callie as a couple - especially since they came together after Callie was reunited with her sense of self worth. I really loved how Callie revolving had Jared going from alpha dog to running around like a confused little puppy. Really enjoyed that! And the metaphorical slaps---and well deserved-- that Callie extended to Jared's mistress 'alias Kate'....Sweet!
Emerald and Jackson - I liked this pairing. Very slick! That out of no where issue with Emerald being involved. Not hating Emerald cause I think she has been as manipulated as Callie. I am not as sure that Rosie is totally what she appears either. I am very much looking forward to the next book!

I started reading this book and realized that it is the introduction to the Falling for an alpha billionaire series. I read the other series not realizing that this came first. This is the back story to that series, so I will definitely be reading all of this series, and hopefully it will answer some of the questions that I had. I would recommend that you read this series first before reading the Falling For An Alpha Billionaire series.
This story started off so promising. The ill treated wife, arrogant husband with just enough brains to create a big mess, a disrespectful side chick and two very sexy brothers were the primary characters in this story. The heroine's cousin and colleague were necessary and moved the plot. I was really into it. Then, it ended. I don't like stories that have no ending.
Though I am interested in the characters, I doubt I will finish.
I enjoyed reading this book, but certain parts made me mad. Jared was an egotistical bastard. He had a wife and a mistress. Callie knew about the mistress, but she was ok with it. I would've had Jared's head on a chopping block. He treated Callie like his maid instead of his wife, and he allowed it. I was shocked to learn about Wayland and his crooked ways. Emerald was also full of surprises.
This story had me going from the very beginning how dare that sorry husband Jared treat his wife Callie like yesterdays old trash after she loved him like no other.Waylon & his brother Jackson were up to no good from the beginning.That mistress Megan I cant wait to stomp her head in myself she is out of her lane big time.The so called friend Emerald karma came knocking sooner than she imagined piece of crap broad.Sapphire we need book # 2 like now.
I started reading this book because I was roaming through my kindle trying to find something that would capture my attention. The process is usually if I can get through the first paragraph without getting bored then I continue to give it a chance...... This book to me was a decent read because I actually finished it............ but it lacked detail and I found the last plot twist so unbelievably unnecessary......... it was like in the middle of a decent read it turned into some mafia type stuff for no reason. I don't think i'll read the next story.... also was confused how this was bwwm
Well this book was very interesting. Meet Callie a woman who knows her husband leaves her every night for his mistress. Callie and Jared met in college, while Callie paid for Jared's way through college and later turned over her business to him, leaving Callie in the dark. Callie decides to take her left back and calls her friend Rosie to step back into the business to earn money for herself. Enters Waylan, he learns Callie's secret and gives her an indecent proposal of seven days with him. What Callie doesn't know is that Jared has been making some dirty dealing and having Megan sign Callie's name unbeknownst to Callie, her world is about to go way left than it already has. Can Callie land back on her feet or will she drown from the things her husband as done?
I am looking forward to reading the next book and find out is Callie will rise.
This is a different type of read. First it was sexy as hell. I was entertained and educated. Lol. I'm still thinking about those Geisha Ben-wah balls. I can't lie, i had to Google that. Lol I thought it was all about the sex but I see it's other things going on. Now, it's starting to get gangster. I feel bad for Callie. Poor thing is so smart she's dumb. She's getting sucked into all kinds of mess and she's clueless. So much for being spontaneous. She could have at least checked out the guy before agreeing to spend a week with him. She don't know him like that. Then there's Emerald. She knows something based on her actions. Rose seems like the smart one outta this bunch but is she? Can someone get rid of Jared now? He's just messy and needs to go. I thought this was just another love story but I see it's much more and I will be reading the entire series.
